No patient information provided as no patient was involved in this concern.A medtronic representative went to site to test the equipment.Representative reported that the computer would not shut down, the emitter kept chirping and the fans were running but the monitor displays "no input displayed" due to the system being moved around more than the typical amount and it occurred every time.Representative reported that another monitor was connected to dvi port on the back of the navigation system sent a signal to te monitor.Representative adjusted the positioning of the cables connected to the back of the computer so the fan would no longer pass against the cable when panel as in place.A system checkout was performed and the hardware, software, and instruments passed the system checkout.The system was found to be fully functional.No parts were replaced.

A medtronic representative reported that while outside of procedure, when setting up for a casethe navigation system was shutting down and rebooting without any prompt from the user.Representative recommended shutting the system down completely, unplugging the system from the wall for a few minutes and turning it on.It was reported that after this process was followed no issue has been reported.There was no patient present at the time of the issue.
