Event Description
A report was received that the dbs patients right lead extension migrated and the lead extension connector screw block caused discomfort as it was protruding from the skin on the scalp.There was no skin breakage and the discomfort subsided, however, the physician advised that the patient should be revised due to the potential risk of erosion in the future.The patient underwent the revision procedure where a troth in the skull was created to reduce the profile of the connector screw block under the scalp.
