Event Description
Information was received from a consumer with an implantable neurostimulator (ins) for non-malignant pain and cervical/neck.It was reported that the patient had not used the ins in a long time because the ins ¿un-nerved¿ the patient. The patient stated there were certain aspects about the device patient didn't like. The patient reported they finally "caved" and turned the device on because patient was in pain. The ins actually helped with pain yesterday, but patient's pain has never fully gone away. The patient¿s pain returned so they started using the ins again. They set stimulation high due to patient's pain level. The patient turned stimulation off but they could still feel the stimulation. The patient tried 6-10 times to turn the ins off. They synced with the patient programmer and it showed stimulation off.The patient does not see the lightning bolt in the upper left-hand corner, indicating stimulation is off.The patient could still feel the stimulation. The patient was redirected to their healthcare provider and listings were sent.No further complications were reported.
