Event Description
|
Information was received from a consumer via a manufacturing representative regarding a patient with deep brain stimulation (dbs) im planted for parkinson¿s disease (pd).It was reported that the recharger was not holding it¿s charge.Troubleshooting consisted of trying different plugs; however, it was still not charging the recharger.It was noted that this could be an issue with the wire.As a result, the implantable neurostimulator (ins) was not working for two days.The issue was not resolved.There were no patient symptoms or surgical intervention reported or anticipated.

|
Additional information was received from a manufacturing representative.It was reported that it was not confirmed if the patient's ins had depleted.The patient tried to charge for two days but they were unable to.The replacement recharger resolved the issue.
