Event Description
|
Information was received from a consumer regarding a patient who was implanted with an implantable neurostimulator (ins) for non-malignant pain, degenerative disc disease and herniated disc pain.It was reported that their stimulator wasn't charging; the patient couldn't get the external device to charge their implant. They reported that they hadn't charged since last year to early this year. The reason for not charging was due to the fact that late last year to early this year their therapy was off but their legs started buzzing like it was on.They turned their therapy on, the therapy worked, and they then turned it off.The patient was receiving a "reposition antenna" message on their recharger and "poor communication" on their programmer. The patient was advised to follow up with their healthcare provider to address the likely overdischarge. No further complications reported.
