|
Information was received from a consumer (con) regarding a patient who was implanted with a neurostimulator for gastric stimulation.It was reported that the patient had a return of their target symptoms on (b)(6) 2018, noting that this was a return of gastroparesis.When this happened, they dropped 30 pounds in three weeks.The patient was admitted to the hospital on (b)(6) 2018 for this issue.They had been so sick and knew it was because the device needed to be adjusted; they couldn¿t keep anything down.No further complications were reported or anticipated.

Additional information was received from a consumer.It was reported that adjustments were made, and the patient had ¿been really good¿.The patient did not know the machine was off for 6 months and found out when the manufacturer representative checked the device.No further complications were reported/anticipated.
