Information was received from a consumer regarding a patient who was implanted with an implantable neurostimulator (ins) for urinary dysfunction/sacral nerve stimulation and gastrointestinal/pelvic floor.It was reported that since the patient got the device, their kidney functions had really gone down, and their doctor told them they had stage 3 almost stage 4 renal failure and the number kept going down.The patient stated they didn¿t know if this was device related or not, but they never had this issue until getting the device.The patient also reported they started feeling really tired the last 3-4 months.The doctor checked their blood and they were having blood issues, their hemoglobin count went from 12 to 9.4 so they were getting shots for being anemic.The patient stated the healthcare provider acted like they were bleeding somewhere, but they hadn¿t noticed they were bleeding anywhere.The patient stated their health had just declined since getting the device and they didn¿t have any answers, and they didn¿t know if the blood issues were device related or not.The patient reported they were seeing a kidney specialist.No further complications were reported.
