Event Description
It was reported that the patient was having pain in their right hip.The surgeon determined the pain could be caused by the patient's mom implants.The metal liner and head were removed.Polyethylene liner and ceramic head were implanted.

Event Description
After review of medical record, patient was revised to address adverse local tissue reaction due to metal on metal right total hip arthroplasty.Revision notes stated that a large dark fluid collection was encountered consistent with pseudotumor.Operatives findings stated that there was a necrosis of posterior capsular soft tissues, corrosion noted at the modular head and neck junction and acetabular liner shell junction.Doi: (b)(6) 2009 - dor: (b)(6) 2019 (right hip).

In addition to what were previously reported, after review of the medical records, clinical visit reported moderate limp, walking difficulty, limited adl, synovial proliferation suggesting capsular dehiscence.X-ray reported to have heterotopic ossification to the prosthesis.Doi: (b)(6) 2009.Dor: (b)(6) 2019.Right hip 2nd revision.
