Zoll medical corporation evaluated the device and the customer's report was not replicated or confirmed.Review of the device logs did show the ecg signal was visible when the pads were attached and the device was in pads view. The logs also show the view switches to lead i and the signal is lost. The patient impedance waveform has a solid reading at this time, confirming the device recognized the impedance through pads. The user stated that they attempted to resolve the issue by disconnecting and reconnecting cables and leads, but there is no evidence of leads being attached to the patient; only pads.It is noteworthy to mention the electrode pads used at the time of the reported event were not returned for evaluation.Analysis of reports of this type has not identified an increase in trend.
