Event Description
Information was received by a trial patient's son regarding an external neurostimulator (ens).Consumer said the patient was in a lot of pain so the call agency suggested decreasing stimulation and calling the healthcare provider (hcp).Later on that day, patient's son mentioned the patient was experiencing intense pain in their back and legs.They also haven't voided at all since the procedure and only had one moderate leak.The patient's son said they will be taking the patient to the emergency room (er) after the call.The family member was also worried that therapy was causing pain and the lack of urination.No device issue was reported and no further patient complications have been reported as a result of this event.

Event Description
Additional information was received from a healthcare professional (hcp).They stated the patient was presenting to the er with complaints of weakness and pain in the abdomen and anterior thighs.They had incontinence and nausea and vomiting.They were too weak to walk and could not get out of bed in the er.Nothing was found wrong with the stimulator device.The patient mentioned that the controlling device, the charger did not work and the battery was almost dead but they just turned it off.The hcp stated there was no reason for the device to cause the abdominal pain or ambulation difficulty.In additional follow up the hcp also stated the retention and moderate leak were not related to the device.No further patient complications were reported as a result of this event.
