It was reported that the patient reported having significant sleep disturbances due to vns and wishes to have it disabled and explanted.The patient is being seen by a physician for the sleep disturbances.There has been no indication any intervention has been taken at this time nor has a referral been made for the explant of the device.During follow-up with the physician's office about the sleep disturbances, it was indicated that the patient had a study performed and found to have sleep apnea.No known surgery in relation to this event has occurred to date.No additional relevant information has been received to date.
