Physio-control further evaluated the customer's device and was unable to duplicate the reported issue. As a precaution the main keypad assembly was replaced. After observing proper device operation through functional and performance testing, the device was returned to the customer for use.Physio downloaded and reviewed the electronic records from the device. There was no log of the shock button being pressed. The device did dump its energy twice, however those events were caused by the user by pressing the energy down button. The removed main keypad assembly was further evaluated and the resistance reading was below the value that could affect its function. The root cause of the reported issue could not be conclusively determined. It is possible that the cause could be related to use error or to increased resistance on the shock button.
