Event or Problem Description
Information was received from a consumer and a manufacturer representative regarding a patient with an external neurostimulator (ens ).It was reported that prior to the trial surgery the patient had a lot of scar tissue and pain.Once the patient was implanted they reported their left leg pain was worse than prior to implant. The patient refused pain medication and eventually the healthcare provider explanted the left lead but the right one was still in place. The patient was programmed on the right side and the patient was turning stimulation on and off so the caller was not sure of the status of that side. The patient's left leg pain remained even after lead explant. No further complications were reported or anticipated.

Event or Problem Description
Additional information was received from a manufacturer¿s representative (rep). The rep reported that the patient was still in discomfort/pain right after the procedure in post-operative.The rep reported that at that time, stimulation wasn¿t turned on or programmed. The patient was still in discomfort/pain during the weekend, therefore the healthcare provider (hcp) ended up pulling the lead out yesterday. The patient¿s discomfort/pain didn¿t change with the stimulation off or on.The rep reported that the patient didn¿t call them back, so they didn¿t know how he was doing after the lead pull, but they thought the hcp was going to have the patient get imaging done.No further complications were reported.
