Information was received from a healthcare provider via a manufacturer representative regarding a patient who was implanted with a neurostimulator (ins) for gastrointestinal/pelvic floor and urinary dysfunction/sacral nerve stim.It was reported that the lead was damaged during implant. There was resistance during the case when trying to place the lead. The lead would not track deep when trying to deploy. It kept bending or buckling just above the 0 electrode.During implant they tried both the curved and straight stylet multiple different times and with multiple different angles, but the lead kept buckling between the 0 and 1 electrode.A new lead was opened and placed without a problem. The issue was resolved at the time of the event. No further complications were reported at this time.
