|
The patient¿s attorney alleged a deficiency against the device.The product was used for therapeutic treatment of urinary stress incontinence.It was reported that after the implant, the patient experienced stress incontinence, painful urination, bladder frequency, suprapubic pressure, discomfort, urinary incontinence, edema, abscess, erosion through vaginal wall, infection, adhesions, rejection of sling, urinary retention, bladder overactivity/urgency, and irritation.Post-operative patient treatment included cystoscopy, drainage/packing of abscess, removal of sling, lysis of tissue/loose suture, colposcopy, and antibiotics.
