Event Description
|
Information was received from a consumer regarding a patient who is implanted with a neurostimulator. It was reported that starting about a week prior to the report, confirmed as (b)(6) 2020, the patient has not been able to charge the implant and gets a poor recharge quality screen when trying to charge. The recharger paddle itself does not feel hot; however, the implant feels hot when charging. The patient noted that the sensation is under her skin at the implant site that gets hot, not the surface of her skin. The patient last noted having charged and felt stimulation about a week or maybe 5 days prior to the report. The patient was sent a replacement recharger to try and resolve the issue. There were no further complications reported.
