Event or Problem Description
Information was received from a healthcare provider and a manufacture representative (rep) regarding a patient with an implantable neurostimulator (ins). It was reported the trial lead showed impedances which showed avoid or do not use when trying to intraoperatively test.It was noted it was a very difficult lead placement.Multiple attempts were made to place the lead, however the patient had a large amount of scar tissue in their epidural space which made placement difficult.Impedances were run multiple times. The lead was moved slightly and impedances were run, ports on the wens were switched and the same high impedances were received. The lead was removed and another was tried. The issue was resolved at the time of report.
