Date of event: (b)(6) 2020.Date of report: 28jul2020.
 
Event Description
It was reported to philips that the device had an issue with the power board.The customer stated that the device did not display after booting, and reported a burnt like smell.The device was not being used on a patient at the time of the event.There was no adverse event to the patient or user as a result of this event.The device was evaluated by a philips authorized personnel (asp).The asp determined that the motor drive board and power management board are damaged.

G4: 30sep2020.B4: 30sep2020.The asp stated that the customer declined to have philips repair the device and found a third party to complete the repair on the device.The determination could be made that the device failed to meet specifications.The device was not being used for treatment when the reported event occurred.Submission of a report does not constitute an admission that medical personnel, user facility, importer, distributor, manufacturer, or product caused or contributed to the event.
