Event Description
Information was received from a manufacturer representative (rep) concerning patient with an implantable neurostimulator (ins).It was reported that manufacturer representative (rep) needed instructions on how to perform a physician mode recharge (pmr) for a patient who has not charged the ins for a couple years.No further information was available.Prm steps were reviewed and to continue prms until the battery was responding with power on reset (por) and charging normally.No patient symptoms were reported.Additional information was received from a manufacturer¿s representative (rep).The rep was unable to communicate with the clinician programmer.There were no factors reported that could have contributed to the issue.The rep reported that the patient was having difficulty charging previously and eventually gave up trying to charge the ins.The rep attempted 6 pmrs unsuccessfully.It was unknown if the patient saw any coupling bars and no power on reset (por) was seen.The rep was unable to interrogate with the tablet, no device found and recharger indicated reposition antenna icon seen.An antenna locate feature was done and the result was 68 and a reposition antenna screen.Another pmr was suggested.Additional information was received from the rep and it was reported that after numerous unsuccessful attempts to gain a charge the patient has decided to talk to physician about potential replacement.
