Event or Problem Description
Information received by medtronic indicated that the insulin pump had blank display.Customer stated that the display was blank less than 30 seconds and then returned.Customer stated that about two weeks his insulin pump turned off and came back on and now the screen went blank.Customer stated the contacts on the battery cap were neither missing nor damaged.Display did not return after inserting new battery.No harm requiring medical intervention was reported.The insulin pump will be returned for analysis.
Additional Manufacturer Narrative
Device received with blank display due to corroded battery tube spring contact and corroded battery tube.Unable to perform all functional testing including the operating currents, a21 error test, rewind, basic occlusion, occlusion, prime/a33 and excessive no delivery test due to blank display.
