Event Description

It was reported to boston scientific corporation that a hydratome rx 44 was used n the bile duct during an endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ercp) procedure performed on (b)(6) 2020.According to the complainant, during the procedure, one end of the cutting wire broke from the tome.Reportedly, no part of the device was detached inside the patient.The procedure was not completed due to this event.There were no patient complications reported as a result of this event.The patient's condition at the conclusion of the procedure was reported to be stable.
