Event Description
Per the surgeon, it was reported that during initial implantation, an intra-operative ct scan was performed and revealed that there was a tip fold-over of the electrode array within the cochlea.Subsequently, the incision was reopened, and the device was explanted.The patient was successfully reimplanted with the backup device.
