The patient was initially implanted with the ovation ix abdominal stent graft system to treat an abdominal aortic aneurysm (aaa).Approximately one (1) year post initial implant, a type 1a endoleak was identified during a routine follow up.The patient is stable and pending re-intervention.Subsequent to the initial report, additional information was provided reporting that reintervention was completed with implant of an ovation ix extender; however, residual leak of the type ia endoleak was still present.A non-endologix (palmaz) stent was placed to seal the leak.A small leak remained; though, the physician believes it is likely a type 2 endoleak (non-device related). The patient is reported to be doing well and will continue to be monitored.
