Event Description
|
Information was received from a consumer via a manufacturer representative regarding a patient with herniated disc and degenerative disc disease for spinal fusion therapy at l5-s1.It was reported that the patient is having allergy concerns and experiencing inflammation in surgery area, reaction to hystemines.Had two fusions and experiencing pain and hystemine reactions that magnified post op.Blood test for metal allergy showed nickel, iron, molybednum and noticeable amount of detectable cobalt circulating in her body.The instruments were planned to be explanted.
