Event Description
Information was received from the healthcare provider regarding a patient receiving an unknown drug via an implantable infusion pump.It was reported the pump had been alarming causing the patient additional psych issues. The patient was unable to sleep or relax which caused them to be weaker and experience increased pain and grief and the caller wanted to have it silenced. It was noted that for the last 3 weeks the patient has had "one medical issue after the next" which led to 4 hospital visits. The caller was redirected to follow up with the managing hcp for a request to be sent to silence the alarms.
