Event Description
It was reported that six days after implant the patient reported "thumping" on their abdomen, which was noted to be phrenic nerve stimulation.The left ventricular (lv) lead was reprogrammed.The patient was seen at a later date and the decision was made to discontinue bi-ventricular (bi-v) pacing due to the elevated lv threshold, negative impact on battery life as there was accelerated battery drain, and phrenic nerve stimulation.The lead and device remain in use.The patient is a participant in a clinical study.No further patient complications have been reported as a result of this event.
