Event Description
It was reported that a dissection occurred.Vascular access was obtained via the right femoral artery. The 90% stenosed, 25 x 2.75, concentric, de novo target lesion was located in the mildly calcified left anterior descending artery (lad).Predilatation was performed with a 12 x 2.00 maverick balloon resulting in 50% residual stenosis.A 28 x 2.75 promus elite stent was advanced and deployed in the mid lad.It was noted that the stent balloon was inflated to nominal pressure at 11 atmospheres.Following stent deployment, a proximal edge dissection was noted, and was confirmed by angio and ivus.A 12 x 2.75 promus elite stent was deployed proximally to the to the first stent, overlapping it, and covering the edge dissection. The procedure was completed and the patient was reported to be stable.
