Event or Problem Description
It was reported to boston scientific corporation that a truetome 49 was used in the papilla during an endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ercp) procedure performed on (b)(6) 2020.According to the complainant, during the procedure, when the physician repositioned the bow, the cutting wire broke.Reportedly, no part of the device was detached inside the patient and the tome was removed intact.The procedure was completed with another of the same device.There were no patient complications reported as a result of this event.
