Event Description
Information was received from the healthcare provider via a device manufacturer representative regarding a patient receiving morphine (10 mg/ml at 2 mg/day) via an implantable infusion pump.It was reported that during a scheduled pump replacement the hcp determined the old catheter was not working.He was unable to get flow through the side port and unable to aspirate from the catheter directly.The old catheter was explanted and a new ascenda catheter was implanted in its place.The hcp discarded the old catheter.
