The getinge service territory manager (stm) that had reported that the repair was complex and ongoing, due to saline spill, reported that significant fluid intrusion were on internal components.Multiple circuit boards were affected.During the repair process, however fluid intrusion caused the immediate failure of each new board, resulting in the need to replaced some boards more than once.At this time the customer has elected to halt all repairs of this iabp.No further work was performed by the stm, and the iabp was not cleared for clinical use.It was also reported that the customer retired this iabp from clinical service.
