Event Description
Information was received from a patient regarding an implantable pump.It was reported that she does not think the pump is working because she is in so much pain and can hardly walk.They have been running tests like mri's and the pump was working.She recently had a tumor taken out of her head and the pain was worse after the tumor was taken out.This has been going on for about 3 weeks.The patient was redirected to the healthcare professional (hcp) to help determine if the pump is working.
 
Event Description
Additional information was received from the healthcare provider indicated that there was no device issue.It was reported that the pain was due to post-laminectomy syndrome and that the device was turned up by 5%.Review of this mdr and/or additional information received shows that there is no information to reasonably suggest that the device in this report may have caused or contributed to a death or serious injury or that the device in this report had malfunctioned.Therefore, this event did not and does not meet the reporting requirements stipulated in 21 cfr 803.
