Event Description
It was reported that the patient and patient's wife can hear a slight vibration at the implanted neurostimulator (ins) pocket site, but no tingling. It feels like when patient had his cell phone on his shirt pocket and feels like a buzzing sound. When the manufacturer representative placed a stethoscope, he could hear a high pitch buzzing sound and can hear on both implants with the stethoscope.Impedance are normal range: unipolar ranging from 780-830 ohms and bipolar are ranging from 1000 ¿ 1300 ohms.Patient is getting good therapy, no change in symptoms.Left ins battery voltage is currently at 2.67v.Patient was redirected to managing provider and it was recommended that when ins is replaced, send ins back for analysis.Additional information was received reporting that there is no reason for the buzzing or vibrating feeling.Patient has the elective replacement indicator (eri) on right battery and left battery is almost at eri (2.67).The battery changes are scheduled for 12/10/2020 and will be sent back to medtronic for analysis following the battery changes.Additional information was received from a healthcare provider (hcp) reporting the implantable neurostimulators (inss) were removed due to buzzing/vibrating sensation from generator on (b)(6) 2020.Refer to manufacturer report #3004209178-2020-22505 for related device.
