Event Description
Information was received from a patient who was implanted with an implantable neurostimulator (ins) for bowel dysfunction/sacral nerv stim and gastric stimulation.It was reported that on (b)(6) 2020 the patient had surgery so their stomach would empty into their colon because the device wasn't helping enough.Since having the surgery they are feeling a shockingsensation and the patient's husband can see the patient's stomach spasm when the shocking occurs.Patient said the doctor they are seeing just wants to turn the device off.Provided info for another physician.Agent did not ask about the circumstances that led to the reported issue.The patient was redirected to their healthcare provider to further address the issue.

Event Description
Additional information was received from the patient.They reported that the device had been shocking them since november and the outside of their skin spasms.They said the device was not helping their symptoms like the last one did.They had a stomach revision due to the device not helping, they said now after they ate they looked 12 months pregnant instead of 9.
