Event Description
Information was received from a healthcare provider (hcp) regarding a patient who was implanted with an implantable neurostimulator (ins) for spinal pain.The hcp reported that the patient was in agony and they wanted to check the device using the patient remote.Technical services walked the hcp though checking the ins using the patient remote.The caller indicated that the stimulation was on and set to 1.3v.The issue was not resolved through troubleshooting.Technical services reviewed information about the stimulator and how to use the remote.The hcp would make a judgement about how to treat the patient. patient reported that they were admitted to the hospital due to pain and being unable to urinate.The pain started in (b)(6) 2021.The patient said there was no change, but their problem was urination, constipation, and loose bowel movements.The patient was put on medication.They haven't charged or u sed the device in 2.5 weeks.
