Information was received indicating that the patient noted that the cadd disposable iv connector snapped while getting out of bed.Subsequently, patient was able to change the line.It was reported that the patient was concerned about getting an infection, since there was fluid on his clothing.The patient was advised to completely change cassette in use along with new line to prevent the issue.The patient was able to continue his life sustaining infusion with no interruption.No patient consequences were reported.No adverse effects were reported.
