Event Description
|
It was reported that the patient's hip was revised due to malpositioning of the shell.Surgeon reported that he suspected that shell was implanted with improper medicalization at the time of the primary.An adm shell, adm/mdm liner, and 28 mm ceramic head were revised to a competitor acetabular side with a +4 mm v40 taper sleeve and 32 mm biolox taper femoral head.There are no allegations against the head or liner.Rep confirmed that no further information would be released by the hospital or surgeon.
