Event Description
Information was received from a healthcare provider (hcp) regarding a patient who was implanted with an implantable neurostimulator (ins). The hcp called to have a rep paged to  interrogate a patient's device. The caller indicated that the patient claimed the ins is not working. The caller did not have any more specific information about the issue with the device.Additional information was received from the patient. They repeated that the stimulator was not working, they feel stimulation in the diaphragm and in the right side "really badly", and a fluoroscopy was performed and they were told "it" was not broken. The patient reported an unknown manufacturer representative (rep) tried to reprogram stimulation away and turned one of their lead wires off completely so one side is not getting therapy. The patient was redirected to their healthcare provider (hcp).
