Event Description
Information was received from a patient (pt) via manufacturer representative (rep) who was implanted with an implantable neurostimulator (ins).It was reported that pt reported burning and hot sensation in his back during an mri.Rep saw patient after an mri and he stated that the techs had to stop the mri numerous times during the thoracic imagining do to the body getting too hot.This was the patients first mri since being implanted. he also has screws and hardware in the lumbar area, which also got hot, but the could not get the imaging necessary at the thoracic site due to it getting to hot. patient was not harmed but did feel his back getting extremely hot.
