Event Description
Patient allegedly received an implant on (b)(6) 2012 via the right common femoral vein due to motor vehicle accident (mva) with traumatic injury to right lower extremity.Patient is alleging vena cava perforation.The patient further alleges "lower extremity swelling and pain.Trouble breathing and difficulty moving around to complete normal house chores and daily tasks.Daily anxiety and fear," as well as depression.Report from ct (computed tomography): "patient has a celect type infrarenal ivc filter.The tip of the filter is cranial and pierces through the medial wall of the vena cava.The struts are intact without evidence of fracture or migration.All struts are seen piercing through the vena cava walls.There is no invasion of adjacent structures.No significant stenosis of the vena cava is seen distal to the filter.".
