On (b)(6) 2021, abbott point of care was contacted by a customer regarding act celite cartridges that yielded discrepant results on an (b)(6) year old male patient with chest pain. There was no additional patient information available at the time of this report.Return product is not available for investigation.(b)(6).The reporting decision was based on the limited information available that suggests the product was not performing within the variability of the assay. Results on samples a, b & c & d showed consistent with heparin doses. However, the last result which was a repeat of sample d show time jumping to >1000 secs on the same sample. The customer states the patient did not have negative impact. But a near miss for over heparinization. The increase could not be explained. The investigation is underway.
