Event Description
Medtronic received information regarding a navigation system used outside of a procedure.It was reported that the navigation system stopped working when preparing for the surgery.It was noted that the probable cause off the issue seemed to be the power source, and it was reported that the customer even saw some smoke.The equipment was planned to be replaced, as it was over 13 years old.No patient was present when the issue was identified.
