It was reported that removal difficulty occurred. The 99% stenosed target lesion was located in the severely tortuous and moderately calcified superficial femoral artery. An opticross peripheral imaging catheter was introduced for visualization, however, the image was lost.An attempt to remove the device failed and the device had to be removed together with the guidewire. When the devices were removed it was noted that the guidewire was kinked, likely due to the steep angle of the anatomy. The procedure was completed with another of the same guidewire and device.
