As a result of the inspection, handpiece was found overheating at 1 minute.Also, the handpiece generates abnormal noise and the inside has become discolored to black.But the reported oil leaking couldn't be duplicated.Pre-temp results at 1 minute: rear 29.4 c, middle 34.9 c and nose 61.8 c.If information is provided in the future, a supplemental report will be issued.
Event or Problem Description
A health care provider reported that the handpiece was overheating and the oil was leaking during tympanoplasty.There was no patient or staff impact.
