It is alleged that the patient received a celect inferior vena cava (ivc) filter on (b)(6) 2009, and the patient was injured without further explanation.Hospital and medical records have been requested, but not yet provided.
 
Event Description
Patient allegedly received an implant on (b)(6) 2009 via the right common femoral vein due to deep vein thrombosis (dvt)/pulmonary embolism.Patient is alleging vena cava perforation.The patient further alleges post-implant dvt.Implant report: "after dilating the tract, the 10 french introducer for the inferior vena caval filter was then placed to the t12-ll level and the cook select inferior vena caval filter was deployed without incident.The patient tolerated the procedures well and there were no immediate complications." "percutaneous placement of a cook select inferior vena caval as described above." report computerized tomography (ct): "ivc filter in place.The legs of the filter protrude beyond the walls of the ivc stable in appearance when compared to 2015".

On 25jun2019, per a report from computed tomography 2; ¿the anterior right strut penetrates 16 mm through the ivc wall.The anterior left strut penetrates 10 mm through the ivc wall.It penetrates into the duodenum.The posterior right strut penetrates 14 mm through the ivc wall.It penetrates into the psoas.The posterior left strut penetrates 12 mm through the ivc wall.It penetrates into the spinal anterior longitudinal ligament.¿.
