It was reported "unfortunately, my daughter continued to have problems with the ez huber safety infusion set needles.Initially, she complained of the needle feeling itchy and irritated.(i even made sure she did not see which needle i was using, and she only complained with these.) we were unable to keep her access for more than 1.5-2 days due to the discomfort. She started having discoloration and small breaks in the skin underneath. However, the last time she used the set and we pulled her access, she had a larger open wound underneath.I am unsure if this is caused by the ethylene oxide, the plastic sleeve which covers the needle when the safety is triggered, or a combination of the two.".
