A greenfield vena cava filter was previously implanted in the inferior vena cava.On (b)(6) 2020, the patient had a computerized tomography (ct) scan that showed the filter had tilted to a 17 degree angle to the left, the apex of the filter perforated the ivc wall by 5mm, and several filter struts were bending.The device remains in an unsafe location.No further complications reported.
