Event Description
|
Information was received from a consumer via a device manufacturer representative regarding a patient receiving morphine (2 mg/ml at 0.25 mg/day) via an implantable infusion pump.It was reported that mid may the patient noticed an ¿abscess¿ on her incision and the pocket was opening up.The clinic stated they used antibiotic treatments for this issue.It was stated that it would get better then another would pop up.The patient had a lot of discomfort from the pump pocket site and wanted an explant.Surgical intervention was planned for (b)(6) 2021.
