Event Description
The patient¿s attorney alleged a deficiency against the device.The product was used for laparoscopic therapeutic treatment of an incisional hernia.It was reported that after implant, the patient experienced abscess, adhesions, bowel obstruction/problems, fistula, infection, and pain.Post-operative patient treatment included additional surgery, bowel resection, wound vac, and removal surgery.
 
Event Description
The patient¿s attorney alleged a deficiency against the device.The product was used for laparoscopic therapeutic treatment of an incisional hernia.It was reported that after implant, the patient experienced abscess, adhesions, bowel obstruction/problems, fistula, infection, recurrence, and pain.Post-operative patient treatment included additional surgery, bowel resection, wound vac, and removal surgery.

The patient¿s attorney alleged a deficiency against the device.The product was used for laparoscopic therapeutic treatment of an incisional hernia.It was reported that after implant, the patient experienced all aspects of life negatively impacted, emotional harm, mesh failure, discomfort, abscess, adhesions, bowel obstruction/problems, fistula, infection, recurrence, pain, small bowel distention, fluid collection, abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, foreign body reaction, erythematous bowels, portion of colon/small bowel were beaten up, hypertension, serosanguinous drainage, brownish appearing drainage with foul odor, small bowel opening/punctate perforation, inflamed bowel, leukocytosis, & draining wound.Post-operative patient treatment included medication, additional surgery, bowel resection, wound vac, removal surgery, adhesiolysis, recurrent ventral hernia repair with new mesh, ct scan, hospitalization, exploratory lap, colonic resection with primary anastomosis, use of jp drains, abdominal washout, antibiotics, tpn, iv narcotics, acute rehab, & wound care.
