Event Description
Information was received from a friend/family member regarding a patient who was implanted with an implantable neurostimulator (ins) for non-malignant pain.It was reported that the patient slipped in bathtub (b)(6) 2021 and didn't think much of it because their wife caught them and helped them.Friday, (b)(6) 2021, when they had a lack of pain relief and noticed that they weren't feeling stimulation when they increased.Pt said that normally they were set on 1.0 for comfort but they had increased all the way to 4.0v and still didn't feel stimulation.Pt said they didn't feel stimulation until they laid down in bed and stimulation shocked them really badly.Pt noted that they only had group a so they didn't have another group to change to.Pt said they used to have a group b but now they only saw group a.The issue was not resolved. The patient was redirected to their healthcare provider to further address the issue.
