Testing of actual/suspected device: a getinge field service engineer (fse) was dispatched to investigate.The fse evaluated the iabp unit and confirmed the unit had a power failure, and would not power on.The fse reported that the failure was caused by a saline spill that reached the power slot board, executive board, motor control board, power management board, fiber optic board, and front fan.The customer ultimately cancelled service as to repair the iabp unit, and advised of the possibility of purchasing a new iabp unit to replace the effected iabp unit involved.Attempts to communicate with the customer have been made to obtain further repair information.A supplemental report will be submitted upon completion of our investigation.
